Fast paced and exhilarating, The Fast and the Furious has a resonant story about motor racing at its core. With actors Vin Diesel and Paul Walker, the movie is about the world of Asian automotive imports. A police officer called Brian O'Connor attempts to catch a number of thieves, who use modified Honda Civics to steal goods, by becoming friends with a street racing gang. He takes part in a street racing event in the desert in a Dodge Ranger and starts racing against ex-prisoner Dom Toretto. In the final scenes Dom is injured and Brian lets him escape instead of putting him in jail for his actions because he has fallen in love with his sister. Established actor Michael Caine takes on the lead role. He plays Charlie - an ex-convict who brings together a team of mates to steal a gold shipment from city in Italy using three Mini Coopers, a bus and two Jaguars.
